In Uganda, a 22-year-old gay man named David (name changed) sleeps in a different location every night. After a mob outed him, his family disowned him, and his landlord evicted him. Now, he lives in fear of arrest—or worse—under harsh anti-LGBTQ+ laws.

In Nigeria, Amina, a transgender woman, was attacked by vigilantes and lost her job. She dreams of safety but has no way to escape.

Across Africa, LGBTQ+ individuals face imprisonment, violence, and death just for being who they are. Many are trapped with no way out—but you can change that.

The Escape: A Dangerous Journey

Leaving isn’t easy. Even if someone flees, they face:

✔ No legal help for asylum applications
✔ No safe housing upon arrival
✔ No community to support them

Without help, many are forced into hiding, exploitation, or deportation back to danger.
