Across Africa, LGBTQ+ individuals face imprisonment, violence, and even death simply for existing. Right now, someone is hiding, someone is running, and someone is praying for a chance at safety—you can be their answer.
We’re building a U.S.-based emergency rescue network to help LGBTQ+ refugees escape persecution and rebuild their lives. Here’s how your skills can save lives:
1. Legal Advocates (Lawyers, Paralegals & Immigration Specialists)
The Crisis: Many LGBTQ+ refugees don’t qualify for traditional resettlement programs or lack proof of persecution—yet returning home could mean death. Without proper legal guidance, even those who escape may be deported back to danger.
Your Role:
✔ Guide refugees through asylum applications, visa petitions, and appeals
✔ Assist with urgent humanitarian parole requests (for those in immediate danger)
✔ Connect with pro-bono networks to expand our legal support
✔ Train volunteers on basic legal advocacy for cases with limited resources
Why It Matters: A single well-filed application can grant someone permanent safety. Your expertise doesn’t just fill out forms—it opens the door to a new life.
2. Fundraising Champions (Event Planners, Grant Writers, Community Organizers)

Your Role:
✔ Organize virtual/in-person fundraisers (concerts, auctions, Pride events)

The Crisis: Silence kills. Many refugees’ stories go unheard, and without public pressure, governments won’t act.
Your Role:
✔ Craft urgent, shareable content (videos, infographics, survivor testimonials)
✔ Grow our platform through TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X
✔ Monitor trending hashtags (#LGBTQRefugees #Africa) to insert our message
✔ Coordinate with influencers & activists to amplify campaigns
Why It Matters: A single post could connect a refugee to a host family or trigger a donor to cover an emergency visa.
4. Emergency Supporters (Donors & Sponsors)
The Crisis: A $200 bribe for a plane ticket. $75 for a week of safe housing. Most refugees have nothing.
Your role:
✔ Make one-time or recurring donations (any amount saves lives)
✔ Sponsor specific needs (e.g., “I’ll pay for this person’s flight”)
✔ Donate frequent flyer miles or hotel points for refugees’ travel
✔ Offer matching grants to encourage donations from others
Why it matters:
50 = border crossing.
$500 = a flight to asylum.
