Help advocate for a better life for the LGBTQ+ community in Africa!

Building an inclussive community of LGBTQ+ in Africa.

LGBTQ+ Africa aims to promote equality and protect the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals through advocacy for legal reforms, providing support services, raising awareness, and educating the public. These foundations also focus on community building, conducting research to inform advocacy efforts, and fostering international solidarity. Their overall goal is to reduce stigma, offer resources, and create a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals to thrive.

Our efforts a geared to:

LGBTQ+ Africa in promoting the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals in Africa serves several important purposes:

Advocacy and Legal Reform

Many African countries have laws that criminalize homosexuality and discriminate against LGBTQ+ individuals. LGBTQ+ Africa works to advocate for legal reforms, challenge discriminatory laws, and promote policies that protect LGBTQ+ rights.

Support and Resources

LGBTQ+ individuals in Africa face social stigma, discrimination, and violence. We provide support services such as counseling, and safe spaces, resources for education to help LGBTQ+ individuals lead fulfilling lives.

Awareness and Education

Raising awareness about LGBTQ+ issues and educating the public can help reduce stigma and promote acceptance. We run private campaigns, workshops, and private programs to educate people about the importance of LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion.

Community Building

Creating a sense of community and belonging is crucial for marginalized groups, that's why we organize events, support groups, and social activities to help LGBTQ+ individuals connect with each other and build supportive networks.

Research and Documentation

Collecting data and documenting the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals can help highlight the challenges they face and inform advocacy efforts. We conduct research to better understand the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and develop effective strategies to address them.

International Solidarity

Connecting with global LGBTQ+ movements can provide African activists with support, funding, and platforms to share their stories. This international solidarity would empower local activists and help them feel part of a larger, interconnected movement.
